The girls volleyball had a record breaking season. The girls had a winning record
of 21-11. The team won 20 games for the first time since 2016.
Many of the girls on the team broke records. Junior setter Emily Williams broke
4 records and set 2 career high records for herself. Williams was also named All Marion
County.
“It felt great to break the records, I was super excited.” Williams said.
Senior middle blocker Brenna Storz broke 3 records and set 2 career records
too. Storz was named All Marion County and All HCC 1st team All Conference.
The team broke the record for the amount of digs in a match against Perry
Meridian during the sectional semi-final game. The team also broke the school record
for most kills in a match and a team hitting percentage of 0.225 in the regular season
Perry Meridian game.

The girls also won their first conference game since 2022. They beat Avon and
Fishers High School.
“Winning against Avon was so much fun to do with my teammates. It was our first
conference win in a few years and we definitely dominated in a lot of areas of play.”
Williams said.
The Flashes made it all the way to the sectional championship and lost a tough
battle to Center Grove.
The girls will only be losing 3 of their 16 players. The Flashes overcame a lot of
adversity, doubts, and records this season and plan to do it again next season.
